The outpouring of knowledge and emotion from this site has encouraged
and allowed me to start writing some books...
Love
Lost, Love Found
“All we ever wanted out of life was simply to
be loved.”
As a soul we live in God’s unconditional love and energy.
We then come into existence with the purpose of reconnecting to
that love, here in the physical plane. There’s just one issue...
no one teaches us how.
As baby, we have all the emotional and physical love we can possibly
want. We are adored, held, cared for, and loved by everyone who
sees us. It’s a smooth transition from God’s unconditional
love to our new existence of both physical and emotional affection.
Then we grow up, and it disappears. We’re no longer the center
of attention. We’re no longer held and attended to every
minute of the day. We feel we are no longer special because we
have lost the constant stream of love, affection, and attention
we received as an infant.
We have to recognizing that we are constantly fighting to regain
this feeling of constant love. We spend the rest of our lives fighting
for attention and it is creating every drama, every pain, every
war, every sorrow, and every fear in our lives. When we realize
we are meant to receive love directly from God and learn to connect
with that source of love, the pain and drama around us and inside
us will disappear, because we are no longer trying to force love
from others.

Who Claimed my Baggage?
Finding Our True Selves
No one knows you better
then you know yourself. But just how well do you really know
yourself? Are you the person you really think you are? Are you
the person you know you can be? Is there a better way of life
to be discovered? Can every day be free of stress, anxiety, and
worry?
We came into this world
with nothing but instincts. Everything we know we have learned
along the way, molding our selves by observing our parents and
everyone in our lives. We have tried for so long to be like everyone
else that we may not even know who we are anymore. Did we ever
know? We spend our lives being told how to behave, how to talk,
and how to speak. We are told what to do and not do, whom to
like and dislike. We have accumulated so much excess baggage
along the way that we can’t even get through a day without
it affecting our lives.
Our parents raised us,
and we looked to them as we grew up. We wanted to be like them.
We wanted to do what they could do, and we mimicked them. It
is natural for a child to become just like their parents, but
now we not only act like them, we have grown up behaving like
them as well. Consciously or not, we assimilate the behaviors,
experiences, opinions and prejudices of our parents - both the
good and bad. Their baggage has become our baggage.
We meet new people and
have new experiences everyday. We cherish and hold onto the good
experiences, but we also hold on to the bad ones. Those are the
ones that eat away at us, turning our hearts sour. On the road
of life, it’s easy to get hurt along the way. We are too
trusting, or too eager, or too naive. We find so many excuses
for the things that happen to us. We’ve picked up more
baggage then we can carry. Everyone is a product of their past,
and it is reflected in our current thoughts and actions, and
we may not even be aware of it.
So much of who we are
today is not really us. We have taken on the lives of others,
and made them our own. We need to learn to shed the parts of
ourselves that belong to someone else, belong to our past, and
come into our own, now.
We can start with the
person we think we know the best - our self. We need to learn
to understand who we really are, who we have become, who we want
to be, and why. It is time for us to become our true selves and
form new opinions based on tolerance, love and understanding.
We need to shed the fear, worries, anger and hate of our parents
and our past. It does not need to be our own anymore. We need
to look deeper into our souls, and transform ourselves into who
we are meant to be, not just living as carbon copies.
We are caught in an
endless cycle. Claiming everyone else’s baggage and then
trying to pass back our own. We are a compilation of everything we have collected along
the way. We are echoes of our past. Today is a new past for tomorrow.
Today and everyday is the right time to start fresh and redefine
our lives.
It starts with you.
Shed your old habits and behaviors. Realize what is not yours,
and let it go. Redefine yourself, and allow others to do the
same. Your friends, family, and loved ones will all benefit from
it. Give your children a fresh start. Allow them to grow up without
excess baggage so they may be the pioneers of a world filled
with peace and harmony.
