Freedom Fighters
It is the most precious commodity in all of human history, more
sought after than any treasure and more valuable then any jewel,
precious metal, or priceless work of art. It has been traded, bought
and sold. It has been fought for, killed for, and died for. It
has been sought after since the dawn of time. It is freedom. Every
race, every religion, nation, group, and every person wants to
be free. We want to be free to live our lives the way we want.
Slavery has existed for hundreds of centuries. People have been
in bondage, traded and sold as a commodity. Races and religions
have fought for their freedom. The original 13 colonies of the
United States fought to be free. There are millions of people still
fighting today to be free. Freedom fighters exist all over the
world trying to overthrow oppression, socialism, and communism.
The war on terror rages on. The Israelites of Jerusalem fight everyday
defending the Promised Land. Freedom of speech and democracy wish
to spread to every corner of the Earth so that humanity can live
free or die, but is there more death than freedom? Hundreds, thousands,
hundreds of thousands die fighting and trying to be free. But no
matter how much “freedom” you or your nation has, are
you still really free?
The human race causes more deaths then any natural or unnatural
cause. The idea is there for democracy: live free, choose your
own leaders, have a voice, freedom of speech, religion, race, and
gender... but yet people are still dying. They’re dying just
trying to live free. Every group of people who wishes to be free
tries to prove why they deserve to be. Yet someone else always
seems to have a different idea. This is just the overall global
picture. The fight for freedom does not end there. Looking around
us, we may think we live in America, and have a good life, but
are we really free? Look at the small picture. Look at your family,
your friends, and your neighbors. How many Americans are not "really
free"? How many children are controlled by their parents?
How many adults are still controlled by their parents? How many
husbands and wives are controlled by their spouses? How many teenagers
are controlled by their peers? How many souls are on this good
Earth now feeling trapped in some way by someone else, be it government,
religion, or their own friends and family? But do others actually
control us, or are we really controlled by ourselves – controlled
by fear?
We are starving. Starving our life energy and depriving our souls
of the one thing it needs most. The human race has been fighting
the wrong war. The war for freedom is not the duty of any country,
any religion, or any race. The fight for freedom must come from
within us. Humanity needs to be freed, but it is not the freedom
of physical bonds that we must now strive for and it is not the
body that is the slave – it is the heart, mind and
soul. It is time for
the human race to be free, to live free, the way God intended.
Not the life our parents want for us. They are captives of the
past just as we are, born into the slavery of the world around
them. Were the ever really given a true chance? They were born
into a world of oppression, of an oppressed spirit in a world of
rules, regulations, and limits set by governments, religions, and
parents, and their forefathers before them. All born into the bonds
we have cast upon ourselves so long ago that the world no longer
remembers how to truly live in peace and harmony – in true
freedom.
There is only thing that truly remembers real freedom – our
soul itself. Eons ago it did indeed live free on this Earth, and
the soul remembers the freedom it has in Heaven. It keeps coming
back in the hopes that the body and the mind will remember, will
awaken, and will cast off its chains and let the soul live free
on Earth. And when it does, humanity will return to Eden, discover
the Promised Land, Shangri-la, Nirvana, and the Kingdom of Heaven.
It is time to live life as it was intended, as the creators
of our own lives and destinies. Not to live the life our forefathers
built, but expand upon it and rise above it. We are grateful for
the courage and sacrifices they made. We are grateful they have
paved the way for us. They helped prepare the world, by fighting
one fight at a time for freedom. But was it enough? Has it gotten
us where we should to be? Is the human race truly happy in this
technological revolutionized world? Is anybody truly, deeply happy
with this world, or are we still confined by all the rules placed
upon us? Are we all still afraid to truly express ourselves? Are
we free from criticism? Are we free from judgment? Do we even know
each other? Do we know our own friends and our own families and
their wishes and desires? Do we even know ourselves? Until we do,
we cannot truly live in “the land of the free.”
We need to finally become the home of the brave, where truth shines
in every corner of our hearts, and we are not afraid to be and
express everything we are and everything we dream to be. We will
create a world we are no longer afraid to live in because we will
have finally made peace with ourselves. We will have set our hearts
free.
The human race has been fighting the wrong war on freedom. It
is time for a world of Truth, Love, and Understanding. It is time
to set the soul free.
